Foreign incised slabs

Effigial incised slabs are found throughout continental Europe, from Poland (Ruszcza) in the east to Eire (Jerpoint) and the Iberian Peninsula (Léon ) in the west and from Scandinavia in the north (Roskilde) to Cyprus in the south (Nicosia). The examples illustrated here range from the 11th century (Léon) to the late 17th (Brenouille) and show a wide variety of types and dress.
