Victorian brasses
The Victorian period saw a revival in brass engraving. In general they are very competently
engraved , as well as being artistically distinguished and capable of standing alongside
the best products of the art of the Gothic revival. Many are of historical interest,
particularly as a number of eminent Victorians were commemorated by brasses or designed
